Family Vacation

So the Holmes family decided that it would be fun to take a family vacation. So we went to California. We had a great time. We took the kids to Disneyland and California Adventures. Gracie loved riding the rides so much in fact that after the ride she would cry because she wanted it to last longer or go again immediately. It took her a little while to learn that we had to wait in line again. She had a lot of fun and would put her hands up in the air during the ride. They also had a trick or treat night at Adventures. This was fun the kids dress up and we went trick or treating. Gracies Favorite part was dancing. She danced with Sully I video taped it and it is very cute.
We also went to the beach that was also fun. Gracie loved the ocean and got very wet. Tanner didn't appreciate the beach or the water he isn't to fond of water and would cry if it got him. It was pretty funny. Then we went to our Jake's Brothers house in California and spent a couple days there. It was nice to see their house and hang out with our cute nieces and nephew. We also took Gracie and Tan to Sea World which was a lot of fun. We went on a Monday and it wasn't busy at all which was nice. Gracie got to touch a Sting ray and starfish. Toward the end of the day she got sick so that was a bummer. But overall it was a great vacation we drove so that was tiring with such little kids but we would do it again maybe in a few years :).

Snow Day!!

So a little more than a week ago we got snow. Since it was are first snow day of the season and we just got new coats Gracie and I went out and shoveled and made a Gracie size snowman. It was a lot of fun. Gracie loved the snow and she would of stayed out a lot longer than her mom. I'm sure she will have plenty more opportunities soon enough.

Our Yard

Here are a few new pictures of our big grassy yard. It is looking so nice and the kids are already enjoying playing on it. We went out one night and Gracie just ran back and forth across the yard. She kept tripping but the lawn is so soft it wouldn't hurt she was really green by the time she got done playing and we had to hose her off before bed.

Tanner sure is enjoying baby food lately. Which we are really glad because he always seems to be a hungry and food lasts longer than formula. He is now crawling all the time, he is very determined to play and follow Gracie as much as possible.

Summer is Over

This year both the Felkins & the Holmes Grandparents set up pools in the yard. Gracie had a lot of fun swimming. Tanner was a little young for the cold water so he mostly just watched all the kids splash around.

Gracie also thought it was fun to husk corn. She got several opportunities and she was really good at it. We had fun hanging out with our families and enjoy the hot weather.

Gracie

Gracie is pretending the baby monitor is a camera

She found Tanner had a jacket with mickey mouse on it so she decided to wear it all morning luckily our house stays pretty cool it was 90 degrees outside.

Gracie is a funny little girl. She has been enjoying playing the computer just like her dad. She also has been dressing up alot some days she changes her outfit 3 or 4 times. She is always getting into my church shoes and I find them all over the house. She loves Tanner alot and want to sit by him and read him stories or just chats about things.

Big Kids

Tanner is growing more and more everyday it seems. We took him to the doctor last week and he is 15 lbs. and 25 1/2 inches tall. He is now rolling over all the time. And he is eating baby cereal, although he isn't to sure if he likes it yet.

Blessing Day

Tanner is worn out!

Shredding meat is fun

Yesterday we blessed our new little boy. Afterwards we had lunch at our house we ate brisket sandwiches, fruit, salad and chips. The kids had a great time playing downstairs with few bumps and bruises. We had a good time eating and talking. It was a nice day. We were glad that our families could join us.
